Research Navigator serves as a repository for a series of studies analyzing various key aspects of the North Carolina and local area economies. Included are: the 1998 report, A Study of the Working Poor, which was mandated by the 1997 session of the General Assembly to provide information on a series of issues surrounding the labor market status and demographics of the working poor; and, the 1999 report, NC Works, which is being prepared in response to the 1998 legislative mandate to update, broaden and enhance the research begun in A Study of the Working Poor. North Carolina's First Stop program activity is reported in NC Works. |
